I attempted to apply the same process you listed in your 2010 version.

I use 7zip to edit the .wsp file and I navigate to the \FBAManagement\FBAMenus\Elements.xml file. Edit this file and remove the section:

<CustomAction
Id="FBAChangePassword"
Location="Microsoft.SharePoint.StandardMenu"
GroupId="PersonalActions"
ControlAssembly="Visigo.Sharepoint.FormsBasedAuthentication, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=9dba9f460226d31d"
ControlClass="Visigo.Sharepoint.FormsBasedAuthentication.ChangePasswordMenuItem">
</CustomAction>

I try to save the file while editing the .wsp file but it sends an error that it cant rebuild the .wsp file. If I extract the .wsp file how to I recompile it to a .wsp? Is there any additional feedback you can give me for this?

Thanks,
James

OK there must be something I am doing wrong. What exactly do I need to remove from the Elements.xml file to remove the Change Password from the Menu? When I try to deploy again I get nothing but errors.

Sorry - I do it all through Visual Studio. I think it will just be a matter of adjusting and testing.

If you would like a custom build of the FBA Pack, I do offer support plans, available here:
